It's hard to find the truth

So I have to admit that sometimes I get frustrated at my lack of knowledge.  I know that the simple answer would be to learn more about whatever the subject is, but its hard to do that, more so now then it used to be.  Some might argue that and say with all the resources I have that I should be able to find out about different things easily.  But the truth is- it's hard to find the truth.  Since everyone has an outlet now through facebook, or blogs, or posting video's on youtube, it's hard to find those who actually know what the real story is, and I feel like sometimes those who know the true story are trying to hide it.

I say this mostly about politics, but there are other things that I am surprised to find out about and think I wish I knew how to find out the real, honest story.  For instence- What is the real, true story going on behind Common Core?

Also, what can I do?  I know that for some people they just have the time and smarts to hear about something and know what's going on.  I need pictures, and drawings, and someone showing me on a chart and telling me so I can see their hands moving.

Here is an article that I read today.  I agree with her if what she has to say is true.  But how do I find that out?  How do I find out what I can do?  Maybe that's the whole problem.  Is there anything I can do?

I'm going to go think about this while I watch Team Umizoomi.
