Update: Success!!! :) We started having him sleep in his bed, and he has done really pretty good. I tried letting him cry it out (I was such a wuss, so thankgoodness he only cried for a few minutes...) but sometimes I would just pick him up and rock him to sleep and then put him in his bed, but he has stayed asleep for a few hours during the day and almost all night! Thank you for all the suggestions and help. Here's some picture's-

So I've decided that we're going to start training Collin to sleep in his bed instead of the swing or our bed, or the couch. He sleeps pretty much anywhere except his bed. Any suggestions on how to make this transition easier would be great :) I keep thinking that I'll be able to just kind of stay in his room with him, or when he wakes up after 10 minutes, then I would just go back and rock him back to sleep. But I've found that I try to get things done while he sleeps, and so I finally just give up and let him sleep somewhere I know he'll actually sleep, like the couch or the swing. So weird that he likes the couch, but not his bed...
I've tried moving things into his bed with him that might help, like the cover on his swing comes off so I tried putting that in the bed with him a few times, but it seemed that it made him more mad that I was trying to trick him. Lately he's been sleeping on his Boppie so I tried putting that in his bed and made some headway with that, but he woke up about 30 minutes after I laid him down. Then he's all tired and mad... not a fun deal.
But, besides the whole sleeping deal, things are going really great with him. He's smiling all the time and started to laugh a little. He's so fun, his expressions are so great, I love to watch and see how he changes everyday. Good times. :)

Hey Jenny, there is a book called "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" It helped me a TON when Mason wasn't napping. The first couple days are the hardest while you are training him... but after that it is wonderful. It was so hard to let him cry and figure out how to put himself to sleep, but it is totally worth it in the end. If you have stuff to do, put him down in his bed, then turn on some music, Mason has a CD of primary songs that he's loved since he was tiny. and turn some on wherever you are to distract you from his crying, not loud, and if he really needs you then go, but I'm sure this book will help, it's kinda long, but it breaks down by age a little bit so that should help... sorry that was so long, I hope it helps you in someway...

PS. I just found it for 15 bucks on half.com
i have loved baby wise. i strongly recommend that book. the only thing i don't like about it is the "cry it out method" i am a boob when it comes to just letting them cry, i can't do it. anywho check that one out if you see it.
How about you stop trying to trick him? He's obviously onto you....
