Man, with 2 kids conference weekend is not as "relaxing" as it used to be. But we had such a great weekend.
We went to a pick-it-yourself garden on Friday. Landon got a little bucket to carry our pepper, although he was sure it was an apple.
My mom got a sand table and between sessions on Saturday we went and got some sand. The boys love it, but we get a lot of sand tracked into the house...
I made Eggplant Parmesan on Saturday. It was really good- super cheesy :) - but next time I am going to get a quality jar of tomato sauce instead of my $.30 can :)
Landon saw my phone and was yelling CHEESE through the window. So I took a picture.
I made Brisket tonight. It turned out really good. The cut we had was super fatty, which is good for flavor but not so great for having a lot of meat to eat.
This is not the best picture, but I just thought I'd do an update on my hand. The 2nd doctor I saw was great. He told me that 90% of people have a second tendon for their pointer finger that is just extra. So if that was the case then he would take the 2nd tendon and re-route it to my pinkie. I asked if it would matter how soon I got the surgery done, like if I could wait 5 years (he told me that the recovery time would be 6 weeks not moving my hand in a splint at all times, and then another 6 weeks on and off with the splint, along with physical therapy. That's a lot to handle with a 3 year old and 1 year old.) and he said that wouldn't be a problem if I waited. So that's the plan for now. As far as the redness on my ring finger- it looks much better today then it has the last few days because I stopped wearing my ring and have been putting cream on it like crazy. It has been very painful to wear my wedding ring because the swelling in my finger has been so intense. I asked the doctor about that and he said it won't go down for 8 to 12 months because of how much trauma my hand has been through. SO. We ordered a temporary ring that is larger for me to wear for the next year. Cue sadness.

what a bummer about your ring and finger! glad you liked what the 2nd doc told you sometimes you just never know! maybe the swelling will somehow go down way faster than you hope. ;)
