Guilt

Sad story-

On Monday my mom and I took Collin to the store. Several hours after getting home I realized Collin's teddy was gone. I looked and looked and called the store, but they said that they didn't have a teddy turned in that day so a kid probably took it.

I am really struggling with feels of guilt that I didn't notice leaving his teddy behind. He has become part of the family. Collin has struggled as well. Chase thinks I'm crazy because I'm crying over losing teddy. The main problem is, we can't just go buy another one. The store it came from closed, and I've tried to find it online, but the one that looks like it is out of stock until December.

This may sound totally dumb, but I have felt so sad about it. Collin has not slept well since losing teddy, which made Chase's trip that much harder. I've been up with Collin for at least two hours every night, and have had to rock him to sleep almost every nap and bedtime. I did order some other teddy's that may be able to work, but they won't be here for a few more days.

Moms- if your kid finds a teddy at the store, turn it in. Just cause the kid left it there doesn't mean he didn't love it. He just got distracted.

Jenny, I don't think you are nuts for feeling that way. If Riley lost his blanket or frog I would feel horrible. It stinks to see your own child suffer over something they love.
