This last Tuesday we were able to visit with the couple that I am carrying for. They flew out from California and visited with us for about 3 hours. They are the most amazing couple- they are very strong in their religion, which is Buddhism, and they told us one of the reasons they were so happy to work with us was because they knew we were religious too. They asked a lot about the church, and we asked them about their role in their church as well. They loved playing with the boys. At one point Karen, the mom, asked Collin what was in my tummy. Collin said, Mommy has babies in her tummy. Your babies!! Karen was in tears when he said that and said "Oh, he know's his brothers!!" Karen speaks some English, but her husband doesn't speak any so they had an interrupter come with them. They kept telling us "We love this area where you live, it's so clean and beautiful! And we love the atmosphere in your home. There is just something so wonderful here, and we are so happy that our babies are being nurtured in this home." They also told us there was something different and beautiful about our faces and our family and they really loved it.
We already have our Christmas tree up with a few presents under it and Collin showed them his present. They asked what he thought it was, and he said "A skateboard!" Which it's way too small and fat to be a skateboard, so we all laughed a little, and Karen said, "We will mail you a skateboard for Christmas, ok?" They are such loving and grateful people, it has been such a joy to work with them.
Other then that things have been pretty quite around here. Landon has always been pretty independent, but he is going through a major I DO IT MYSELF phase right now. Collin is loving preschool and sings me songs just about every night that he's learned. Both him and Landon are so good at learning words and tunes to songs and they are very excited about singing spooky songs, or Jingle Bells. Everybody stayed home from church today since all of us have some sort of head cold, and Collin has been running a fever. Pictures next post. Promise.
