Arrrr pirates!!

So we had Collins 3rd birthday part today with two of his friends from our ward. We decided on Tuesday to do a pirate themed party so I had just a few days to do all the things I wanted to. But I think it went really well.

Chase drew our treasure map- my mom had some fabric left over from a project that I cut up and burned the edges.

Here they are at the beginning of the hunt. I made the costumes for the boys- the hats are made out of felt, the vests are just black fabric and the white shirts have a pirate ship that we used freezer paper to paint on.

Still working on the hunt...

Here is the treasure chest. It was supposed to be a pinata but I forgot to put a hole on top so we could hang it from something. So Chase just helped the boys rip the top off. Its a Styrofoam cooler that I got from Walmart and just covered with butcher paper. We already had the "lock" from a chest from IKEA.

Here they are right after opening the chest.

And here are all the goodies.

Then we did "walk the plank"

That's the best picture of the costume that I got.

Singing happy birthday and blowing out the candles.

Got some Cars toys. Super excited.

And some beach toys. He wanted to play with them in the water right then.

And we told Kim that since it was a dress up party that Jacob had to wear his Superman outfit.

So we put Landon in his turtle outfit. It was actually really funny to see them walking around all dressed up.

So all in all it was a fun party and I think Collin had lots of fun.
